Its my 45th birthday and 7th wedding anniversary today and as my wonderful hubby is taking me away overnight and I am not sure when I get back tomorrow I am posting my DT project that I made for our new challenge over at One stitch at a time today.

I've been wanting to have a go at making a corner bookmark like I have seen on your blogs and came up with this using the image I was allocated to use this week. Its called Fall Funny and is by Kelley Kids. I coloured the image in with my Copics. I have used orange and brown for the bookmark as they are the colours I associate with autumn here in the UK.
I followed the instructions on this Tutorial to make the base bookmark in a shiny brown card which has a gold tinge rubbing through it. I used my Martha Stewart punch to add the decorative bottom to the bookmark.
I have used some orange card and some paper from my Sugar and spice 6 x 6 paper pad to mat and layer the bottom of the tag. I edged the patterned paper with Anita's Glitterations. Added two orange punched circles and added a dot glitteration to each. I have used another sheet of 6 x 6 paper to cut a triangle for the top of the bookmark and edged with glitterations.
I cut the image out with my circle nesties and matted onto an orange circle and then on to the brown scalloped circle. I did some faux stitching in gold pen around the orange circle and added some small dot glitterations in each of the scallops on the brown scalloped circle. I stuck the image onto the bookmark using 3d foam pads to raise up a little from the base.
