I  decided to make a pendulum card as it has an aperture as well as using my image which also includes a window

I wanted to make a card for my son's girlfriend April who has her driving test coming up so decided to make another pendulum card

I have made a diamond shaped card that can be displayed in the three ways shown above

The gorgeous image I have used for my card is called Singin Sally and is available in the Polkadoodles Digi Store HERE, its also available on the Work and Play 1 download, which can be downloaded immediately so no waiting for a CD to arrive

The pretty backing papers I have used are also from Work and Play 1 Download

For my bling I have added pink and beige pearls to the corners of the image and added gems to the dots on her hair bow. I have also added a pearl embellishment to the centre of the bows on each side of the card to finish it off

My DT card for Lacy Sunshine

Here is my DT card for our new challenge over at Lacy Sunshine 

Our theme for you this fortnight is

Back to school

I decided to make a card in a box as they are so popular at the moment

The gorgeous image I have used, which has been coloured with Copics, is called Zoe back to school, isn't she cute!

If you haven't visited Lacy Sunshine Stamps before check them out HERE

To make the box I just took a piece of A4 card Landscape and scored it at 7, 14, 21 cm and 28cm, I then turned it to portrait and scored at 11cm down to the 21 cm score line and from the 28cm score line to the edge of the card to leave the 4th panel unscored, then using red tape stuck the tab to section one

I cut the score lines down to the horizontal line and folded the sections back on themselves, took some spare card to cut the little sections to stick my image and sentiment onto

The papers and school related items are all from a Nitwits collection called Live n Learn, its just perfect to enhance a back to school image and project

The sentiment was a freebie from Articrafts by Rebecca which I have had a long time, I added this to the centre section with acetate so it could stick out from behind Zoe

Here are the details for my card 

I decided to make a pendulum card using the wonderful Baby Boom Bundle from Digiworld at Polkadoodles

I hate sewing so don't own a sewing machine or kit (it goes back to a horrible teacher I had at school who put me off sewing for life) so I cheated a little and actually faux stitched both of the papers in Photoshop Elements

All the items on this card are from the Baby Boom kit, which is amazing and a bargain at only £2.99!

The only thing I needed to add was 3 jump rings and the card to make the tent card and Spellbinders scalloped circles and classic circles dies to make the aperture and the pendulum part of the card

I also added a bow using Sue Wilsons Dotty Itty Bitty Bow die adding a pearl in the centre to finish the card off

Here is my Rory Project, I have added 3 photos as the card can be displayed in 3 different ways

 

 

 I made one of these cards years ago (displaying it like the top photo)  but after visiting Norma's blog recently where she had made her own version and shown hers displayed like in the bottom two photos I decided to make another one. 

I have adapted my measurements using A3 card (I can make two out of 1 sheet) as I wanted my card to be larger than 4 x 4 inches so I could showcase Heather's gorgeous image better

Before I get onto details of my card

I'd just like to let you know that Lacy Sunshine is having a Rory Blog Hop, Yeah!!

 

I will be posting my card on 5th August so pop back again then to see what I have made using my gorgeous Rory image

(I must admit Rory and Eleanor are my favourite girl images from Lacy Sunshine Stamps)

I recently decided to revisit some older card fold designs as its nice to revisit them but also for inspiration for new crafters that might like to see some different fold techniques

When I first made this type of card many years ago it was called a Spring Fold card as it pops up as you take it out of the envelope

The gorgeous Lacy Sunshine image I have used is called Lil Peanut's teddy bear, its available in the Lacy Sunshine Store HERE

I coloured her using the following Copic Pen colours
