Back to school at Pennys

Here is my creation for the challenge over at Pennys this fortnight. The theme is Back to School, come over and join in with our challenge, our sponsor for this fortnight is Dew Drop Craftz. My daughter doesn't go back to school under 7th September, the summer hols seem to have gone on forever!

Firstly I cut three scalloped circles in cream card with my nesties and joined them together with some small pieces of card scored in the middle and folded both ways. My two images are from Lili of the valley which I coloured in with Copics, aren't they so cute.

I then matted the images onto pearlescent copper paper and then stuck on the left and right hand circles. I have added brown (with white spots) and green card candy around the edge in each scallop, card candy is available from Craftwork Cards.

For the centre circle I had a go at paper pleating using brown paper with white dots on, a new technique I had not tried before, if you want to try it a tutorial can be found HERE. I then created a circle sentiment and matted onto green card and stuck over the paper pleating and again added the card candy around the edges in each scallop.

I then added three cream scalloped circles on the back over each circle to hide where I stuck the card to join the circles together.
