My DT card for our Here comes summer challenge 111 over at One stitch at a time

Here is my DT card for our challenge this week over at One stitch at a time. Our theme this week is Here comes summer.

We are sponsored this week by Creative Craft World

So why not hop on over HERE to join in the fun.

The image I have used this week is called Spring1 by Ike, its been coloured with Copic Pens and is available in the shop HERE.

I made the easel card using my Spellbinders Scalloped and plain Octagon dies, I found some pretty paper to go on the base and cut some butterflies out of the same paper with my Cheery Lynn butterfly dies.

For the stopper I just cut an octagon and a flower with a die and added a pink gem in the middle and attached to the base of the card with 3d foam. I also added some silver mini hexagon peel offs in each scallop of the octagons.

Some news to share about Pennys Paper Crafty Challenge Blog

Sadly our wonderful design team coordinator Courtney over at Pennys Paper Crafty Challenge Blog has decided to step down as she is really busy working on her new business venture and has decided she does not have enough time to give 100% commitment to our challenge blog.  This fortnights challenge will be her last, we are really sorry to see you go Courtney, you will be greatly missed and we all wish you the very best in your new business venture, don't forget to stay in touch!

In order to keep the blog going I have agreed to takeover the running of our Challenge Blog and hope I can step into the role without too many hiccups.  I officially take over from our next fortnightly challenge on 9th May,  it would be great if any of my followers could hop over and give me some support for my 1st challenge post.

Bella the Elephant easel card

Another card from me, this time using one of the new Bella the elephant stamps from Wild Rose Studio which I have coloured with the following Copic pens, Y13, C0, C00, C2, BV000, BV01, BV02, V0000, V01, V06, V12, V15 and RV0000. I have also added some faux stitching with a Marvey le Plume pen, No 62 Wisteria around the circle on the front panel.

The easel card shape has been made using a Marianne Creatables Die, I love this shape and the embossing it creates around the edges. I have also used another Marianne Design die on the base of the card and some balloon paper from the Wild Rose Studio Bella papers pack adding a lilac brad in the centre to act as the stopper.

My DT project for Pennys Anything but a card challenge

Here is a cute little woven basket I have made for our Anything but a card challenge over at Pennys this fortnight, following a fantastic tutorial HERE. It took me far longer than I expected but I am happy with the result. It measures 4 x 4 x 4 inches and I have put some yummy shortbread in it for a little pressie. I have added 4 photos here so you can see it from all 4 sides.

I love the cute little cook image I got to play with this week which is by The Digi Garden one of our sponsors this week.

We are also sponsored by Sassy Cheryls Digis

I have coloured it using the following Copic Pens, E000, E35, E43, G000, G12, BV0000, BV11.

The 12 x 12 paper I have used is from a double sided 12 x 12 scrap pad to go by K & Company called Verbena. I have added a little tag which says "Shortbread just for you" on it and I have tied it on with some lilac coloured twine round the handle and in a bow.

The handle can be moved backwards and frontwards as it is attached with 2 purple large brads.

I know a lot of crafters struggle for ideas for Anything but a card challenges but there are some good tutorials in blogland so I hope we have some fantastic entries, don't forget we are sponsored by The digi garden and by Sassy Cheryls Digi's so hop on over and join in our Anything Goes challenge HERE
