Card from Riley the dog for Zara

My stepmum also wanted me to make a card from their dog Riley for Zara as they have a great bond with each other so here is what I came up with.

The give a dog a bone backing paper is from a Nitwits collection called Farley Friends
The kennel and dog are also from the same collection. I added the name Riley with gold peel off letters on the kennel sign to personalise it a bit.

I then resized the photo of them both together and also the kennel image and cut out with my circle and scalloped circle nesties. I then added gold peel off spots to the scallops to give a collar type effect.

I die cut two elegant corners using a Cuttlebug Elegant corner die. Die cut the number 1 from the Olivia Cuttlebug alphabet. I have used 3d foam pads to stick the image and the photo onto the card and then used a shaper tool to give the dog some dimension and stuck to the card with pinflair glue gel.

I added gold fine line peel offs around the edge of the backing paper and added a message and two paw prints on the base of the card using 3d foam pads.

I hope Brenda is happy with it and that Zara likes it too. Happy 1st Birthday Zara

Penguin Carton

Here is a carton I have made. I used the template over at Create for fun but I enlarged it a bit.
Here in the link to the template incase anyone else wants a go. I have used a Karens Doodles digi image which I have coloured in with Promarkers and then faux stitched around the edge then cut out with my circle and scalloped circle nesties.
The pink cupcake card has been made by using an embossing folder called cupcakes by Craft Concepts which I have layered onto black card.
I punched two holes in the top with my Cropadile and threaded black and white ribbon through and tied in a bow

1st Birthday card for Zara

My stepmum Brenda asked me to make a card for her Granddaughter Zara's 1st
Birthday and here it is.

I decided to make an Easel card and followed the wonderful sketch over at Papertake Weekly this week. The papers which are gignham, spotty and stripey are all from Pink Petticoat downloads which I have edged with silver glitterations and then onto pink card.
The image is a Karens Doodles digi image called Butterfly Baby Girl which I have coloured with Promarkers I then used a corner punch to decorate the corners before sticking to pink card.
The flowers have been made using Marianne Design dies, cut and embossed with a gem in the middle of each.
I have added the name Zara and 1 Today with silver peeloff letters and then edged with glitterations.

The base of the easel card has been decorated pink gingham paper, then pink card edged with the lace doily Martha Stewart punch and then the daisy strip punch. I have added white pearl gems in the centre of each daisy. I then added pink organza ribbon with white dots along the front and added a bow using the same ribbon.

A pink girly card

Here is a card I have made using the sketch over at Karens Doodles Netherlands blog. I have used a Karens Doodles image which has been coloured in with Promarkers. The backing papers are all 8 x 8 papers from the Papermania Basics pastel colossal paper pack. I have used my Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch on the bottom of one of them. The flowers have been made by me using 3 Nellie Snellen punches. I have the two petal cutting punch and then put the petals into the embossing punch and glued 3 sets of 2 petals together to form each flower. I then stuck the stamen punched from the third Nellie Snellen punch into the centre and added a pearl in the centre of each flower. I have stuck them on the card with 3d foam. I have stuck glitteration peel offs around the outside of the card, the image and the sentiment to add some sparkle and shine.

Another card fold for me today

Here is another new card fold from me today. I have used double sided 12 x 12 paper called Vertical Stripes by Papermania but you can get 1 card out of an A4 sheet of card. The lovely decoupaged image is from Paws-fur-a-moment by Buzzcraft. Whats great about this fold is that it also lies flat for postage but has a 3D feel once opened up.

A new fold for me

This is a new fold for me, its a type of double easel card as the front bit is also upright.

I had not seen this done before. I got the tutorial on the Joanna Sheen Newsletter but here is a direct link Tutorial here This wonderful fold has been been designed by the wonderfully talented Sheila Weaver. I altered the sizes a little bit but like how easy it all goes together and yet folds flat for postage. A great idea Sheila, thanks for the inspiration.
I have used my Bigsby wreath digi image from Karens Doodles which I have coloured in with Promarkers. I have also used the grid technique on the green card underneath the image to give a little dimension. I have used my new beaded circle nestie die to cut the red card behind the image. I then added silver glitter peel offs and 7 glittered snowflakes cut using my Martha Stewart Snowflake punch on the card and finished off with silver Happy Christmas peel offs.

The challenge over at Karens Doodles challenge blog was to add 7 somethings to your card. I wasn't sure if they would count the 7 baubles on the wreath as its part of the image so I have added the 7 glitter card snowflakes to be on the safe side.
