Gem Daisy Card

Mothers Day Commission

I was commissioned to do this card for a nice lady that asks me to make cards for her quite frequently. As she was not 100% sure on the name I just put New Puppy on the card. Been to Street Today

We took the kids out today to Street factory outlet today to give our new car a run out as it was such a nice day, obviously I couldn't pass The Paper Mill Shop without going in and spending money. My kids kept being sent in by my hubby trying to lure me out with promises of hot cinnamon doughnuts and starbucks, eventually I relented but not until I had a good look round. I will list my other entries to challenges tomorrow.

Fishing Card Commission

I was asked by a lady who works in our local shop to make a card suitable for her hubbys 65th birthday who is really keen on fishing, this is what I came up with, the image is George from Dotties World by Charmed Cards and Papercrafts, I put some 3D Glaze over the waders, hat and the fish to make them look wet , I hope she is pleased with it

Thinking of a new name for my blog

Now I have mastered a little bit of this blogging thing I am trying to come up with a better name than Julies Blog but everything I have thought of has been used by other crafters - so will have to have a rethink so I can enter some of the new challenges with my new blog name.

Spend Spend Spend

I am loving the new craft essentials campaign, there is some lovely stuff in it,
I had to buy the goody bag, so much good stuff in there including 1 set of the clear stamps(Daisy and Dandelion), the paper pack, stickers etc etc, plus the other 3 clear stamp sets, they are really lovely, also bought 3 of Clare Curds signature range stamp sets, a brilliant bargain at £5.99 a set, will hopefully have a play with those soon.
I really must cut back on my spending on craft products, buying is soooo compulsive though, I am sure thats why they are always bringing these lovely things out to tempt us as am sure most crafters know.

Papertake weekly challenge

I thought I would have a go at Papertakes weekly challenge which was to create a card using brown pink and orange and this is what I have come up with, I used ribbon from Hobbycraft, an embossing folder, co-ordinations paper, my nesties and my new penny black stamp. Wasn't sure about how the colours would go together but I am quite pleased with how it has turned out
