A christmas gatefolded easel card

I enjoyed Karens Doodles Blog Hop the other day and decided to make a card to enter into the blog hop challenge as the winner is going to win all of the newly released christmas images, how cool would that be.

I decided to incorporate two types of card into one project so I have made a gatefolded easel card.

I have used two of Karens wonderful images which I already had to make this card, one is called Bigsby Wreath and the other is Bigsby candy cane which I coloured with a mixture of Copics and Promarkers. I have used Sandstone and Blush for Bigsby in Promarkers, (I thought he would look better in the lighter colours instead of grey because of the colours I have used on the actual card) and the following Copics, YG67, G17, G28, Y28, R27.

So I made the easel bit first in Green card, adding some 6 x 6 holly paper onto the base and added some Glitteration lines around the edges and then punched a strip of green card with my Martha Stewart snowflake punch on both sides, added some fine line glitterations on each side and added Merry Christmas with Anitas Merry Christmas Glitterations.

The next step was to make the gatefold part, adding the same paper on both sides of the gatefold again edging with gold glitterations on the inside and outside of the card. I added some gold paper to the centre panel and some green card on top of that. After colouring the Bigsby Candy Cane image I punched a snowflake in all 4 corners and edged with gold glitterations and then stuck to the green card to complete the inside.

I printed out a Bigsby Wreath image and then flipped the image and printed out another one to go on the doors of the gatefold. I coloured them both in and then cut using my circle nesties and matted and layered onto green scalloped circles cut using nesties again. I also added some Glitteration dots in each scallop and then added a gold organza ribbon around the card before sticking these down so that they would hold the ribbon in the right place when stuck down and tied into a bow to finish it off.

I am entering this card into the following challenges
