Challenge 76 Bling it up over at OSAAT challenge blog
Here is my project for our challenge over at OSAAT this week where our theme is Bling it up.
I started by making the octagonal easel card with lilac coloured card using my scalloped octagonal nesties and my plain octagonal nesties. I added a gem in the centre of each scallop on the top and bottom of the card to give it plenty of bling. I've even added gems to the centre panel of the base as I embossed this panel with my new Me to you flower embossing folder and added gems in the centre of the flowers created by the embossing. I added a silver mirri piece of card candy for the stopper.
The image is called Yo and is a digi designed by Barb Jensen and is available HERE I used Promarkers to colour her. I added faux stitching around the edges of the image using the thin nib of a Marvey Le Plume Amethyst pen (no 106)
I liked the embossing so much that I decided to make a matching chocolate wallet using the same folder. I followed the the template by Penny HERE using lilac and black card but realised it wasn't quite big enough for our chocolate bars over here in the UK when I went to the shop to see what I could fit in it. In the end I went for a big packet of Minstrels which fitted just nicely.
Before sticking it all together I ran the card in the embossing folder through by Big Shot and then taped together and added gems in the centre of the flowers to match the card.
There are 53 gems on the card and 16 on the chocolate bar wrap so I hope I have blinged this project up enough.
I am entering this card and chocolate wrap into the following challenges
