Happy Birthday Louise

Its my birthday & wedding anniversary tomorrow and my sisters birthday on Sunday, I was meant to be her 3rd birthday present but arrived a day early! We are are going out for a meal tomorrow night with her and her partner Richard, I'm really looking forward to it as we are going to my favourite restaurant so I thought I should upload some of my projects before the weekend as we have lots planned.

This is the card my sister's partner Richard asked me to make for her. She works as air crew for Virgin airlines and Richard is a commercial pilot. He wanted a aircraft theme and this is what I came up with.

I made an easel card as normal but added another smaller easel card in front of the bigger one. I found the image on Google but they were both dressed in blue uniform. Somehow my wonderful hubby managed to change the colours of the uniform to black and red. I edged the image with gold glitterations and added to the 14.5 cm x 14.5cm piece of red card.

I cut a tag from gold pearlescent card using my spellbinders fancy tags die set and added the words Happy Birthday in gold pearlescent peel offs and added a flower peel off on each side. I have added some red spotty ribbon to the base and added a bow to act as the stopper.

I like the extra peak, I think it makes the easel card stand out a little more so I am quite pleased with how this turned out. I'm hoping Richard is going to be happy with it too.

I am entering this card into the following challenges
